Twenty five years ago, the day after 9/11, I began researching how trees hold the stories of our shared roots. Roots that connect us to each other beyond religion, race, ideals, countries, cultures etc. Trees have always shown us how to live together no matter who we are, where we live or what we believe.

These two black oaks stand like the twin towers in our backyard in southwest Oregon. They have joined together to form a heart.
The synchronicity is not lost and the message is clear.
Love….
